Raised in Avon Lake, Ohio

I help the best tradespeople find work worth their license, and I help shops hire people who fit. I study the trades job market full time, so both sides walk into a deal knowing what is fair. Shops pay my fee. Tradespeople never pay anything.

No hire, no fee. Ever.

The trades are the jobs AI will not replace. I think the people doing them deserve a job market with better information, so that is what I work on.

An illustration. Real introductions stay private.

I place the best licensed tradespeople. Master electricians, plumbers, sprinkler fitters, HVAC leads. The people whose license keeps a building standing and a shop legal.

I spend my days talking with tradespeople about what they want and with shops about what they need. I study what the work actually pays, town by town, so nobody has to guess. When a person and a shop genuinely fit, on the pay, the drive, and the work, I make the introduction.

I keep my bench small on purpose. If I bring a shop someone, it is because I would put my own name on the hire.

If I have ever reached out to you, that is all it was. I thought your work was worth knowing about. Nothing about you goes to any shop unless you say so, and you never pay me anything.

02 / Why I do it

I grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio, around people who work with their hands. Then I spent fifteen years building software. I left a venture-backed fintech as CTO when it was acquired. I co-founded an AI company that became one of AppSumo's biggest launches of 2024. I published research the Arc browser's engineering team adopted, and at a venture fund I built the tools that helped investors find the right companies and the right people.

Somewhere in there I realized the most important jobs in the country are the ones my industry cannot automate. Nobody's software replaces the person who wires a building or keeps the sprinklers working. Yet those trades run on word of mouth. Tradespeople rarely know what they are worth, and shops struggle to find the licensed people they legally need.

I know how to fix a market like that, because it is the only kind of problem I have ever worked on. You study it until you understand it, you share what you learn, and you help the right people find each other. It is the most useful thing I know how to do, so it is what I do now.

03 / For shops

If you need a licensed person, call me before you post the job. I keep track of the best people near you and what it would take to move them, and I would rather send you nobody than someone I do not believe in. My terms are simple.

  • Fee on startnot before

You pay when the hire shows up for work. No retainer, no exclusivity, no minimum.

  • 90 daysguaranteed

If the hire leaves inside 90 days, I run the replacement search free.

  • No hire, no feeever

If I cannot find you someone worth hiring, you owe me nothing.
